Telemedicine

What is asynchronous telemedicine?

Asynchronous telemedicine which is also known as “store-and-forward” technique, is a patient-physician interaction by which a patient uploads pertinent parts of their medical history, images, and pathology reports and then sends it to a physician for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Physician Promise specializes in this type of telemedicine to provide efficiency, care, and flexibility for our patients.

What is telemedicine?

Telemedicine connects doctors and patients who are not in the same physical locations and enables physician visits from the comfort of one’s own home. Very similar to an in-person consultation, the doctor and patient have private one-on-one time to discuss any concerns and recommendations before any medicines are prescribed (if needed). The telemedicine field has been booming in the last few years and is the way of the future for medical practices of all levels.
